Create More Work Space :-

Our MACS AHUs are rack mounted or wall mounted. Customer can use them as per their convenience. Besides this Rack mounted or Wall mounted AHU don’t occupy extra space like other floor mounted AHU’s. So it creates more work space for other activities with in same room.

Freely Moment

With our Rack mounted AHUs customer can move the rack very easily no need to disconnect the rack from AHU (in single/double rack configuration). In floor mounted IVCs its not so easy to freely move the rack because it is connected with floor mounted AHU & it difficult to move both( AHU & IVC rack together).

Anti Vibration Mechanism

We would like to inform you that Vibration is virtually non-existent on our IVC frames. It has been independently tested in the past by Univ. of Arkansas Medical Sciences Dept and this has shown to transfer of vibration from the blower to the frame using an ultrasonic vibration detecting instrument. Second, because of the small blowers we use, not much vibration is created to begin with. Our blower system is a great deal smaller than competitors. Lastly, our new AHU has 4 spring loaded feet with rubber gasketing cushioning. These feet absorb any vibration there might be from the blowers.

Light Weighted

Our MACS AHU are light weighted so its very easy to remove and reinstall them for cleaning purpose.

Touch Screen Control :- MACS has a microprocessor touch screen with pass word protection facility. From the touch screen user is able to monitor, set parameters and get alarms. User can see and set ACH. The MACS can be set from the control screen to be either in positive or negative mode and can be located any position with in the rack.

Alarming System :- There is an alarm for abnormal airflow or pressure with in the rack. The run screen alarm will flash a red and white bar across the top of the run screen when the fans can no longer hold the required air pressure in the system to generate the selected air changes per hour. The alarm will also sound a buzzer that can be silenced by touching the FLASHING BAR. The bar will continue to flash but the buzzer will no longer sound. To reset the alarm and the alarm buzzer you can enter the menu screen by touching the MENU button and then returning to the run screen.

Blowers :- The MACS system comes with two blowers. One for supply and one for exhaust and both blowers are equipped with HEPA & Pre filters at both end i.e. supply & Exhaust.

HEPA Filter in AHU :- We use large size of HEPA fitters in our AHU for both supply and exhaust blowers the larger filter has a larger surface area meaning less resistance and therefore a slower airflow speed can be used to create good airflow in the system. The large filter would also take longer to fill and therefore would not need to be changed as often. Besides this minimum life of our HEPA filter in minimum of 3 years depending upon your facility conditions.

Verification Cage :- User can purchase our Truscope verification cage for Flex-Air? units Truscope cage can be located any position of the rack and it gives a digital read out of ACH, Static pressure, Temp and RH% at any cage position. Our verification cage is very simple like normal IVC cage with digital read out its not a software base cage which requires Laptop to get data.

Flexibility :- Being universal, a cage stack can be put on, removed and re-installed on any frame within the MACS? ventilated system. The overall height of the standard mouse and rat stacks are the same so you can change out several MACS frame mouse stacks to rat cages and back again in specially designed rack for Mice & Rat. This saves your money to purchase all new vent racks for a particular species. A single cage stack can hold upto 10 mice cages and a single cage stack for rats can hold upto 6 rat cages.

Simple Rack design for easy cleaning :- The MACS IVCs Rack are designed to be simple to use. Alternative Design makes disassembly and assembly simpler too. The upper and lower plenums have hooks so they hang on the frame for faster cleaning and drying.

Rack Frames :- Besides regular Single sided or Double sided rack frame we are proud to introduce new and innovative space saver rack which can be access through four sides and wall mounted frame. MACS Rotary racks are space saver in comparison with any other rack design available in the market. Our one rack size is 3.27 ft. for Gentle Air Cage and 3.58 ft for Flex Air IVC system (without rack bumper which is optional) . Each rack comes with 120 cages configurations so researcher can accommodate 720 mice of 25 gm in a rotary rack. Now existing facilities also increase animal strength by using rotary design racks and can meet the increasing research demand which now don’t require big investments like constructing new facilities for single sided or double sided IVC system.
