| Murine
ImmunoComb™ Kit |
The
Murine ImmunoComb™ Kit offered by Charles River
Laboratories is a convenient solid phase immunoassay
designed for the routine screening of rodents for
viral and mycoplasmal antibodies. The kit is based
on the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and
is completely self-contained. It requires no specialized
space, equipment, or personnel. |
 |
| The
kit detects antibodies to Sendai Virus, Rodent Coronaviruses
(including MHV, SDAV, and RCV), and Mycoplasma pulmonis.
Either mouse or rat specimenscan be tested because
the kit’s enzyme-conjugated anti-IgG reacts
with antibodies from both species.Antibodies can be
detected for all three agents simultaneously
|
| The
Murine ImmunoComb™ Kit provides sensitive,specific,
and reproducible results when processed using the
components supplied in the kit according to the
instructions. The kit’s sensitivity to low levels
of specific antibodies has been validated at Charles
River through years of usage, and we are pleased to
pass our
experience on to you
|
When
interpreting your results, you should keep in mind
that false positive and false negative results can
occur with the Murine ImmunoComb™, as they may
with any serologic assay. In the event you receive
unexpected positive results, Charles River will retest
your sample via alternative serologic methods, free
of
charge. |

| SEROLOGY
KITS (Charles River Survey Program) |
Do
you have a small facility or are you just starting
one? Recognize the need for Health Monitoring but
don’t want to commit to an expensive and
high-maintenance program?
Our Charles River Survey Program (CR-Survey) enables you
to gather colony health information right in your own
facility. The Program is designed to provide routine in-house
screening for the major biosecurity concerns for
animal facilities today, such as Sendai, Rodent Coronavirus
(including MHV, SDAV, and RCV), and Mycoplasma
pulmonis.
With
our easy-to-use kit, you have the flexibility to monitor
as many or as few animals as necessary. For a
more extensive agent screen, in-house testing may
be supplemented with an annual submission to
our
serology laboratory here at Charles River. All submission materials
will be delivered to your door. Simply place your
samples in the box and mail
